[ARCHIVED] Parciptation for Auto-Attendance posting to SIS

Hi there, 

We've been using an API call to the Student Submissions report for the purpose of posting attendance to our SIS for asynchronous courses. However, we've noticed the discussion replies to other students don't count in the submissions report (although they do count as participation in Course Analytics) - only the original replies count in the submission report. 
Have any of you figured out a way to extract *all* participation for the purpose of automated attendance posting? We want everything that shows in Course Analytics as "participation" to count for attendance (discussion replies, discussion replies to replies, assignment submissions, and quiz submission).
