[ARCHIVED] Photo Uploading sideways/upside down

I am trying to include a photo in a discussion board/comment section on canvas, and whenever I embed the photo I want to include, it uploads as being sideways or upside down. The pictures were taken on my phone and some are landscape and some are portrait, I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it, but I haven't found a way to rotate the picture or fix the situation in any way.
