Hi everyone,

The Division of Information Technology’s Learning Technology Strategy group at the University of Maryland submitted a proposal to South by Southwest (SXSW) EDU Conference PanelPicker entitled “Mighty oaks from little acorns grow: Open Catalog.” This proposal discusses how over the past three years, we have designed, deployed, and supported an institutional Open Catalog platform (Canvas Catalog) which allows for non-credit based, world-wide, professional development offerings. By strategically marketing this service to colleges and departments across campus, we have experienced 500% growth in enrollment, and a completion rate greater than 98%, such that Open Catalog has been embraced as the de facto University-wide standard for non-credit based extended studies.

We would appreciate your votes to be able to present at this conference on March 9 - 12, 2020 in Austin, Texas.
