How to add question in polling?. it shows only polling options, no option to type questions

Are you using the Canvas Polls mobile app, or are you using Canvas Quizzes to create a survey for your students?

I am using in my laptop, not using any mobile app. During conferences, i would like to give polls for the students. I am getting only the options for the answers and no questions to be posted. how i can asses the students in polling?
