How do I print out a class roster from Canvas?

Hey Joanna,

If you go to Contact List in your navigation, you can either print that page directly, or copy that list into a Word document or Excel document and print that.

I went to Navigation, but there is no Contact List. Not sure what I'm doing wrong!

It may be disabled in your course navigation. See if you can turn it on from settings.

I also cannot find Contact List. Is it possible to print roster some other way?

A "Contact List" is not a standard feature in Canvas, and is most likely a customization by josephclatonha's school. What we advise our teachers to do if they need a hard copy student list, is to download the gradebook as a CSV file, then modify that list in Excel to better meet their needs.  How do I export Grades in the Gradebook?

Unfortunately, the gradebook doesn't give me information about last activity and total activity.  I want to alert parents that their students aren't even *trying* to do the work, because they're not even logging into Canvas.

I wish the scripting for exporting data were a bit easier, more like SQL.  (I've tried automating grade reports with additional information like due dates, which aren't included in the Gradebook, so I can automate sending of status letters to students and parents, but got stymied by the peculiar structure of the data tables.)  I know that there's a scripting language, and it looks like I could probably do what I want with some custom web pages, but our District IT department won't provide any support for the authentication keys, etc. that I would need to do that.
