I am having an issue with organizing modules. I have each chapter module, except the first 3 are inside Chapter Modules and the rest are independent modules. I imported from a Blackboard learn course. I can not move the ones inside the header Chapter Modules outside to look consistent. Any idea what the problem is?
Hi, @drdantru Welcome to the Canvas Community! Thanks for that screencast; it's very helpful. It appears that you're trying to move a module into a different module, which is why the action is not succeeding: that's not possible. You can choose to organize all of the chapters into a single module, using text headers and varying the indents to visually differentiate sections within that module, or you can maintain each chapter as its own independent module with its own content.
Does my guess sound consistent with the actions you've been taking?
Also, this resource is helpful in guiding module design and organization: Share UDL Course Design Tips, Tricks, and Techniques ...and for general reference, here's the overview video for modules:
Thanks! So I need to copy the contents of the 3 chapters and make new modules for them. Thanks. Odd, but not too big of ordeal. Thanks for help!!
With respect to:

Possibly...? But because this is associated with a course import from a different LMS, some or all of the content associated with those chapters might already reside in the course as pages or quizzes or discussions or something else—so you might not need to copy anything. I would check through Pages first to see what might be in there. Adding existing content to a module is very easy indeed, and How do I add course content as module items? walks through the steps.
It's great that you're making progress, Dan! You're welcome. Stay safe, be well, and come back whenever you have questions.
