[ARCHIVED] Question on Announcements in Canvas

I have a class imported from a previous semester. I am trying to post announcements, but I cannot see where or how to post them. There is a U with a circle to the left, but when I click on it, the announcement does not publish.

Any suggestions?

Hi Tim,

The U is what gets added in place of the name of who posted an announcement when a course it copied.  I can't say why for sure, but my guess is that if you copy a course from one taught by someone else you wouldn't want their names on the Announcements.  

There should be a + Announcement button in the upper right side of the Announcements page to create a new one.
