Sorry to see that your question has been sitting out here unanswered since the end of July. Unfortunately, I am not aware of any comment box that is available for students to write in their comments while taking a quiz/test. Students would only see the questions that you create for them to answer...nothing more. I suppose you could make one or more essay questions within your quiz/test, and then just assign those essay questions 0 points each so that they do not count toward the total possible points, but you'd still need to place those essay questions exactly where you wanted them within the quiz/test.
