@marybeth_miller , the answer to this depends on what you mean by the "deadline." If the Due date and Available > until dates and times on the quiz are both set for the same day at 10 PM, the student's attempt will be auto submitted at 10 PM on that date regardless of how many minutes the student has used. However, if the Available > until date/time is set after the Due date/time, or if there is no Available > until date/time set, the student will be able to continue with the quiz for the full 60 minutes or until the Available > until date/time is reached, whichever comes first, and the student's submission will be marked as "Late" in the Gradebook. In other words, the number of minutes allotted to take a quiz does not override the Available > until date.
