[ARCHIVED] Quiz totals wrong

Hey there,

I'm doing final grades and realized I really messed up! I made a new change in my syllabus that quizzes are 10 points each (5 quizzes total) but forgot to change the totals in Canvas. Now, students have taken all quizzes out of 100 points on Canvas, but our syllabus has them out of 50 points. Is there an easy fix to this without going through each quiz and each question changing point totals? Thanks in advance to save me a headache 🤦‍♀️

Thanks for your question. Quick clarification- are you using just points in Canvas or weighted grades in the Assignments area?

If the current quiz point values are set to 20 points each (5 x20 = 100), then the only way I know to change them would be to do so manually for each quiz, as you mentioned. But I'm not sure if Canvas would let you do so, you didn't mention if you are using the new quizzes or old, and sometimes you can't make certain types of changes to a quiz after students have taken them. I think* you can change the point values after students have completed the exam.  I'm not sure if new quizzes will.
