[ARCHIVED] Remove Automatic Certificate of Completion

How can the feature that automatically sends students a certificate be turned off? We are using Canvas to deliver professional development for teachers and when they just start the course they receive an email and a certificate that says "Congratulations on successfully completing... Name of Session"  We need the participants to complete all the modules, we record credit for a course in a different system. We want to be able to turn off the feature saying they completed the course already, when they have only been to one of eight modules.
