[ARCHIVED] Reordering threads in Discussion Redesign

I need to control the order of the threads in the discussion board. I see how to sort from newest or oldest, but how can I create a custom order? Thanks in advance.

Side question - I really only want to be able to tag people in discussions - do I have to enable Redesign to do this?

If you need to order your discussion topics in a course, you can click and drag them up to the Pinned Discussion area of your course and order them in the way you would like them to appear for the students. If they are not in the Pinned Discussion area, Discussions with replies are ordered by most recent activity. Discussions with no replies are ordered by creation date.

For your side question, you are correct. You would have to be using the redesign to Tag/mention a user in the discussion. With the old design, you can only reply to students who have already posted to the discussion.
