The Instructure Community will enter a read-only state on November 22, 2025 as we prepare to migrate to our new Community platform in early December.

I inadvertently deleted a graded assignment. Is there any way to restore to assignment and the grades?

Howdy @lori_zugelter ,
Welcome to the community! I've got some good news. You can most likely undelete your assignment. It's a helpful feature- though thankfully, I don't use it often (but when I do, it's happy panda dance time). It's not a technically supported feature so it "might not" work. However, if it doesn't ... create a Canvas ticket. Sometimes those Canvas support wizards do some great bit of magic.

When I click the link, it says the page no longer exists.
Hi there, @StaciaAbe ...
The links above from @valentinesking were when the Canvas Community website was using a different platform to host all Community content. The new link is located at: Undeleting things in Canvas - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com). If you ever find that a link doesn't work (as in the above example), you should be able to use the search box at the top of any page here in the Community, and then type in the name of the article to find it here in the Community.
Hope this helps!
