How can I view the old Analytics instead of the New Analytics?
The New Analytics doesn't give me all the same student information I'm searching for at a quick glance and requires much more clicking around. I just want to continue using the older view for its more visual layout.
Hi @CoryPark
It is not possible to revert back to the legacy analytics tool. As far as I know it is gone forever. However, I have seen, and gotten an opportunity to test, some of what else is coming for New Analytics and I think you will find it to be awesome!
In the meantime, is there something specific you are looking to do that we might be able to help you with?

I agree with the others. New Analytics is a terrible downgrade.
Completed assignments and quizzes show as not being completed. I have to scroll all the way left every time to see the first assignments due. It used to show the whole semester at once. The list goes on.
Please bring back the old analytics, or at least find a way to preserve the old functionality.
That's disappointing. The old view showed all the information I needed without clicking anything and it was much more visual. Plus it had three different layouts. It was easy to share data with others without having to compile a report. I at least wish switching was an option, especially since some of my courses have it and some don't.
I agree. Old analytics is FAR better. New analytics is useless. I need to see which student did what on a DAILY basis (NOT weekly!), which SPECIFIC day they did it, and for how long. And I'm not going to download reports and sift through that garbage. I need to see each student's day-by-day interaction with canvas. Why did Canvas take this away?
I would give this a billion likes. Canvas analytics are completely useless. And I am not exaggerating in the least. Why is there no progress on this front?
New Analytics is failing me. Sometimes it does not show the submissions, like with quizzes. The week for Canvas New Analytics does not align with my k-12 school's attendance week. I try to open Weekly Online Activity to gain clarity, but there are no dates for individual student page views or submissions. This whole system feels useless and it extremely disappointing when the old analytics worked amazingly.
NEW ANALYTICS SUCKS!!!!!!
It gives far less info that OLD analytics and is useless for me to chart daily student progress.
JUST FIGURE OUT HOW TO GIVE ME BACK OLD ANALYTICS!!
Agreed we do not like the new analytics at our school either. We use 3rd party software (Cengage Mindtap) and the old analytics allowed us to see student submissions that we used for participation activity. We need specific data not generalized data. Please bring back the old version of analytics!
