I have an instructor who recently gave a quiz to his students and then realized that there was an errant question on the quiz. The quiz parameters were 50 questions, 2 points each. He wishes to throw out the question and have the quiz worth a total of 98 points. Can he safely delete the question and have the quiz calculate the total based off of 98 points? I tested it in a sandbox and it looks like it will work but would appreciate confirmation.

Hi @talway ,
If I'm not mistaken, Canvas will ask your teacher what he wants to do when he deletes the question. But yes, what he/she wants to do is definitely possible and one of the options Canvas will give.

Thank you for your reply. The instructor was able to delete the question and the point total for the quiz adjusted accordingly. The only catch was that he had to manually reenter the test scores. Fortunately he had recorded the scores prior to deleting the question.
Did this approach actually work? As usual, I am unable to locate anything on Canvas help with regard to throwing out quiz questions.
Thanks in advance,
Lesley
