Where do I find the rich content editor?

You find the Rich Content Editor everywhere in Canvas that you are allowed to enter formatted text. Content pages, assignments, discussions, annoucements, text-entry submissions, quiz creation, some types of quiz question responses, etc.

You may be able to choose whether to use the Rich Content Editor or the New Rich Content Editor if your Canvas Admin has turned it on in the admin settings > features and enabled the RCE Enhancements. If they have it set to "Allow" then you can choose whether to use the new or old one by going to your course settings and selecting Feature Options and turning RCE Enhancements on or off. Canvas has been pushing the new RCE on people, but several of us who do a lot of content development have found it unbearable to use and so we stick with the old one until the new one is more useful or we're forced to switch.
