[ARCHIVED] Same quiz every week- any way to do this without manually creating each quiz?

I've had several faculty members approach me with this scenario. They have a weekly quiz or survey which students must complete each week. The questions and settings are identical for each instance. But each week they have to create a new instance of the quiz from scratch. No way to duplicate. Only partial solution is to use a question bank, but then they still have to go through all the settings and linking the questions. Exporting and importing multiple times seems too complex to even attempt. Copying does not create a new instance. 

Any tips or workarounds?

The new quizzes tool does allow for duplication just like other assignments.  Do you have access to that type of assignment?  If not, perhaps you can request to have it enabled.

Another thought that depends on how different these quizzes are from teacher to teacher.  But could you create a dummy course where the quizzes are created and then imported out to each teacher?  It's not ideal, but if one person created the shell quizzes with the correct settings then each teacher would have less to do.
