I have 40 sections in my course.  Does anyone know of a method for me to generate a list of who is in each section without having to do them one by one?

 @a_eberhard ​, I don't believe there is an easy way to do this on the front end of Canvas. On the back-end it should be possible via the API. but for that you might want to post this question over in the Canvas Developers​ group. They're more about the programming and back end side of Canvas. Side note, isn't this information available via your Student Information System/Portal?

Per  @10449271 ​, I think a better work around would be: "Do you have the sections cross-listed into one course?  If so, you can export the gradebook and sort the resulting Excel file by section."
