[ARCHIVED] Seeking Personalized Learning Tips and Tricks

Hoping that you're willing to share how you're using Canvas to personalize learning, in this case for students who received modified assignments. We'd love to be able to assign Modules to individual groups of students in Canvas or assign assignments, quizzes, etc. to "all students except" to save our teachers time with typing in names. Since we can't do those things, what are you finding useful, helpful, etc. as well as tricks that you're using? Thanks in advance for your responses.

Hi  @trisha_zimmel  Welcome to the Canvas Community.

Personalising learning is a passion of mine so I'm pleased you asked this question. Canvas has many ways of grouping students 1:1/ small groups, or creating options for choice. Community people chimed in with some great ideas about that topic in this blog Differentiation and Personalised Learning. I love the ability to make groups of one especially, with students using this facility to create a 1:1 dialogue with their teacher during the year.

Hello!  @trisha_zimmel ‌‌!  My district is really focussing on personalizing learning for all students.  Check out this document that was used for a handout / presentation for our staff when looking at some ways to use Canvas to Personalize Learning.  Personliazing Learning in Canvas (1).pdf‌

It is more of an over view but might hopefully spark some ideas.  I am hoping to add more content to the Canvas Community soon related to #personalized learning with Canvas.
