[ARCHIVED] Shuffle Links on a Page

Is it possible to shuffle the order that items appear on a page every time a student opens the page? In my case it's external links. Can I set it up so that when a student first opens a page, it shows links

A
B
C

but then the same links

B
A
C

the next time they open that page?
(Yes, this is because my students have a list of available options to them on the page and tend to always just choose the first one)

That is a very interesting question.  I am interested in seeing what other people have to say about it.

My guess is that without some sort of external personalized script used to manipulate your page, it can't be done.

If that's the only way to do it, that's not a big deal to me, and I'd be interested in going that route if I could get some guidance how to go about it.

As much as I would like to be able to tell you how to do it, I am not able to help in that regard (yet).  It is on my list of things to do - figure out how to make extensions or scripts that can manipulate the displayed information.
