I used New Quizzes today for the first time. I like it! I did not want my students to see their score after taking the quiz, so I checked the appropriate boxes. See below.
Unfortunately, when a student finishes the quiz, and goes back to the Assignments page, the score is listed right under the title of the Assignment. See picture.
Is this avoidable?
Thanks for your help!

Thanks for the reply. This is just the view I could get from my side. The students have shown me on their end and it does show their score. Sorry, I just included the picture so you knew which part of Canvas I was referring to.

Hi @dhess and welcome to the Canvas Community
Are you referring to the text that says "Due Mar 6 at 11:59pm -/20 pts" ? I don't believe that's actually telling the student their score. What it means is "blank out of 20" , that is it's telling them the quiz is worth 20 points but not telling them how many points out of 20 they actually scored.

Hello @dhess ...
That is an interesting observation. I created a small 3-point quiz using New Quizzes in my own sandbox course. Then, I took that quiz as a Test Student...scoring 2 out of 3 points. The quiz used all the settings that you provided in your screen shot. When I finished the quiz, it told me, "Results are not displayed per instructor settings.". But, when I went to the "Assignments" page, I could see the following:
So, as a student, I could see my score on the "Assignments" index page. However, if I navigated to the "Quizzes" index page or if I put that quiz within a module on the "Modules" index page, that 2/3 score does not display there when viewing as a Test Student. It only shows the number of points possible. I also looked at the "Grades" page as a Test Student, and I was able to see the score of 2 out of 3 there, too. (Not sure if there was a setting I missed to not display that score??)
One think you could possibly do is to hide your "Assignments" course navigation button from your students. That way, they aren't going to see their total score on that "Assignments" index page. How do I manage Course Navigation links?
I hope this helps a bit, Dan.
Ok, so you think creating a module and adding the quiz to the module would restrict the view? I will try that for my next quiz and let the thread know.
