[ARCHIVED] Students with No Submissions Report

I'm trying to understand what the 'Students with No Submissions' report is giving me. My understanding was it would display courses with no submissions, meaning nothing at all for that course has been submitted. This report does not get to the assignment level.

However, I have a student that is appearing on the 'Students with Submissions' report which displays the assignments they submitted, but this student is also on the No Submissions report for the same course listed on the Students with Submissions report. 

If anyone has any input on what these reports are to contain, I would appreciate it.

The no submissions report simply shows student users whom have not submitted any work during the term or designated time frame requested.

I guess I'm confused then if Brian said the Submissions report will show all assignments, even if they have not been submitted.

From the results I see in our reports, what I think is happening is only assignments submitted are on the submissions report. (Maybe Brians report is customized?) Then any assignments not submitted will create a row on the No submissions report, yet we are unable to tell which assignment it is, because it only displays the course and not the assignment(s). 

I have some students on both reports for the same course, so that is why I believe what I mention above. Without seeing the assignment on the No submissions report, I can't say for sure.

Hi Lori

I'm sorry I'm not sure what Brian's report might be.  Another thought would be looking at the term or date range of the two reports and comparing.  If they're all the same I would likely reach out to your CSM and see if they have any insight on the specific user in question.

This is a report of all students enrolled in a course in a given term who have turned in an assignment. This report contains one row per student submission
