[ARCHIVED] Studio Screen Recording on Chromebook

How do you record a screen in Studio on a Chromebook?  Is there a Chrome web store extension?  There is no option to "Screen Capture" on a Chromebook as compared to the same menu on a Windows computer?  I am a Studio admin, Canvas admin and a Google admin, so I have access to change and or adjust settings as needed.  I am not seeing in any of the Canvas Studio guide regarding Chromebook integration or extension for using Studio.

Hello there,  @steven_kominsky ...

I'm not sure if your Chromebook browser has this built in to the browser (I don't own a Chromebook, so I'm just basing this on my Chrome browser on my Windows 10 laptop)...  When you are to the point of selecting your web cam, on the far right side of your address bar in the browser, do you have a star icon?  Just to the left of that icon, does a little video camera icon show up?  If so, try clicking on that icon to see if you have any options to select your camera.

Again, this is a very large assumption on my part...so it may not even be an option.  But, I hope it may be of help to you, Steven.  Let us know if you have any questions.  Be well, and stay safe!

Hi there.  I don't know if you have solved your question, but there is an idea related to this that you can vote up.  I know I am so disappointed to find that it won't work with our Chromebooks as easily as it other operating devices.  Here is the idea we can vote up: https://community.canvaslms.com/ideas/14768-screen-capture-on-chromebooks-via-studio-arc  and I know our district will be weighing in on this!  Good luck.
