[ARCHIVED] Submitting assignments for students

​Is it possible to submit assignments for students as the teacher?  For example, it is faster to video assignments in class on a single device.  Could I then submit their videos to their account? (This would help as we are not a one to one school and many students dont have a device of their own.)

Unfortunately, no. It was a feature request back in May that Canvas has said it's a great idea but we won't be working on it soon. For full details, please see:

Why not? This has been requested for a long time and it's absence creates a great deal of extra work for teachers. In Blackboard, a supposedly inferior product allowed us to do this easily. It seems like a obvious feature that should have been part of Canvas from day one.
