[ARCHIVED] Teacher role in Groups

Are all Teacher and TA users automatically assigned to all of the Groups created? More specifically, if I wanted to post an announcement to an assigned group, would all Teacher and TA roles get that notification every time?

My team is changing to Canvas from Sakai and Sakai groups seem to function more like sections in Canvas.

@AliceStone Welcome to the Canvas community!  Yes, the Teacher(s) and TA(s) are automatically part of all the groups and would receive announcements assuming they have not turned off that notification.  If you go into the group's homepage and click on the "people" button, you will see all Teachers and TA's listed as a member.
