@jen9 , there might be one or more different issues affecting these students. Here are some general possibilities:
- On the assumption that the Apple devices are Macbooks, are the students using Safari—and is it a fully-updated version? Updating Safari requires the user to update the MacOS, so please direct them to update the OS to a version that supports Safari 12.0 (at this writing) or later (What are the browser and computer requirements for Canvas?).
- Again, assuming these students are using Safari, there is an issue associated with the latest update to that browser, as it forced on a default that has in turn created issues with images displaying. If these students are using Safari 13.1, have them disable "Prevent cross-site tracking" in Safari preferences.
- Alternatively, have the students switch to a supported version of Chrome or Firefox.
