How do I turn on comments for all announcements in a course?

I have the same problem, but the page pointed to doesn't help. I don't have the option of turning on comments for announcements in my courses. The page to check Course Settings if this is the case, but it doesn't say where to go in Course Settings. I can't find any way to turn on comments for announcements there.

 @dpotts2 ‌, there is an account-level setting that allows the local admin to disable comments on announcements and to lock this setting for sub-accounts and courses; I suspect that's what is happening in your case. Please ask the Canvas admin for your school or district to look into it for you.

And you're absolutely right, I don't see that specified in the instructor lesson, and we will let our Doc Team know. Thanks!

Thanks for such a quick reply! I figured it out with help from one of the Guides pages. I needed to click the "more options" link at the bottom of the Course Details tab on the Settings page. I hadn't even noticed it was there before.

Anyway, problem solved. Thanks again.
