[ARCHIVED] Un-merge Two Sections of a Course

Two sections of one of our courses have somehow been merged in Canvas. Does anyone know why this might have happened and more importantly how to split the two sections out again? The combining of the sections has caused one of the original sections to completely disappear. The University goes to online instruction on Monday and the instructors have worked so hard to build out the course. Any help would be very much appreciated.
