[ARCHIVED] Unable to view Turnitin Similarity Report from Canvas

I have successfully submitted my assignment in Word Document format (54KB) on Canvas, however I am not able to view the similarity report icon.

Kindly advise.

Depending on how your instructor has set up that particular assignment with the Turnitin interface, it is possible that your instructor has configured the assignment to not display the similarity report to you.  I would suggest that you reach out directly to your instructor to check with him/her if this was intended or not.  Your instructor would be the best person to ask about this situation…as we here in the Canvas Community would not have access to your course(s) or your school’s Canvas environment.

It looks like Canvas has changed the way assignments work which means that the Turnitin similarity report is not visible to students until their results are published (whereas before they could see the Turnitin report soon after they submitted).

This is, unfortunately, an unhelpful downgrade in functionality for Canvas due to the changes made in the assignments function.

Is this still the case?  Or does immediately now mean immediately?  Or is the report not available until grades have been released?
