Hello,
Copy a course Fails with this issue:
I've tried downloading then importing, copying, and copying individual modules, assignment, pages, settings, pdfs, etc. but the same error message keeps popping up.
I have been a Canvas user for a while now and have been copying courses in the past.
I need this issue fixed ASAP. There are 30 students and 30 parents counting on me for this Thursday.
Please Help

I have been dealing with this same issue for the past 2 days. I checked with my team this morning, and they are also having issues with importing. So far, none of us have heard back from Canvas support after submitting a ticket. And I have posted twice on here asking for help, but no answers
. It's very frustrating!
Maybe there servers are overloaded from the pandemic. Honestly, I would like to know if upgrading might fix this issue because I am up for any suggestions/help at this point.
Thank you very much for your update
I don't know about what is causing the issue now, but for me in the past when a Course Import failed it was because the export file was simply to large... like larger than 500MB. I was moving the course from one Canvas to another and ended up stripping out all the super large video and image files and that brought the export file size down.
Just offering possible suggestions, there may be external tools associated with the course that are also causing a straight course-copy (no imscc file) to fail.
Let us know what you find out and definitely track your support ticket.
Stay home, stay healthy,
Cheers - Shar
