[ARCHIVED] Unpublishing a course with graded assignments

I have been unable to unpublish my course because it has "graded assignments." Nearly all of my courses have graded assignments and I've always been able to unpublish after the course is over. This course is from over a year ago so I don't want it published. Please let me know what button I'm not pressing that I should be or vice versa that is making this impossible.

According to the information in this Guide, How do I publish a course?, under the section called "Unpublish Course", it says, "Once your course contains a graded submission, the course status will no longer display in the sidebar and you will no longer be able to unpublish your course."

Is the best way to remove a course you can't Unpublish (due to submitted assignments) from your dashboard to Unfavorite it?

Yes, that would be a good way to do it.  Marking your courses with a star on your Courses >> All Courses screen essentially "favorites" any courses that you want to see on your Canvas Dashboard.  How do I customize my Courses list as an instructo... - Canvas Community  I hope this will be of help to you.  Please let Community members know if you have any other questions about this...thanks!
