I am trying to upload a video I recorded for a discussion board. The video was recorded through the record and upload video within the discussion board. I recorded the video but it keeps saying uploading. How long does it take to upload? I am really confused.

How long it takes to upload depends on several factors such as how long the video is (file size) and your network connection. If it's been a recording that is less than 5 minutes long and it's been a couple of hours trying to upload; I'm guessing something might have gone wrong.  It might just be that the screen didn't update and once you close that window and Save the post it's fine.  But, it also may not be fine 😞

If you regularly have issues recording videos into discussions like this it might be a good idea to record the video outside of Canvas and then upload it.  This way you still have the recording should something not work during the upload.

Depending on your role at your school, here are a couple video tutorials on Discussions.  However, please keep in mind that the "Discussions" course menu button may be hidden from your view if you are a student.  Your instructor may have set up your course so that you are accessing Discussion topics via the "Modules" of your course...so that you are following a certain order of tasks to complete.
