What are the video requirements for uploaded media? After I have uploaded my media, it looks horrible after Canvas beats it up. What specs should I be recording in?#videoresolution

Hi  @wolfeje !

That is an excellent question, but one that is kind of tricky to answer. Generally, we recommend recording/exporting in Full HD (1080p) if you can to upload to Canvas. However, this can be problematic for longer videos in 1080p resolution because they may exceed the 500 MB upload limit (mentioned here: How do I upload a video using the Rich Content Editor as an instructor?  ). If you want to retain length and higher quality, you may want to explore upload the video to a dedicated video hosting site (such as YouTube or Vimeo) or hosting it in Dropbox, Google Drive, or another cloud storage option and then linking to the video in your course. Let us know if you have any other questions.

To piggyback on to Jessica's question, I just used the built in screen recorder that comes with Studio.  My screen was recorded at HD, 4K in fact. I made sure the settings on the recorder made a HD file, but the uploaded video is only 658x360 resolution.  This cannot be correct and made an unusable tutorial.  I waited an hour to see if it simply needed to be processed, but it is still the same resolution. Also, once the screen recording is done, edited and uploaded, it apparently discards the original recordings from my computer. Help please.
