[ARCHIVED] Weight assignments and resits

I would like to realise the following setup:

Block 1 (50%):

- Assignment 1 (5%)
- Exam 1 (45%)

Block 2 (50%):

- Assignment 2 (5%)
- Exam 2 (45%)

Resit:

- Resit exam 1 (take the best between Block 1 average and this resit)
- Resit exam 2 (take the best between Block 2 average and this resit)

Is it possible to implement this? Or has anyone a good idea for a workaround? Thank you so much in advance!

I do not know of a way to have Canvas do that type of work automatically.  

You can set this up with weighted assignment groups (but not exactly like you have) and then do a lot of exporting the gradebook, manipulating the scores in a spread sheet and then importing the spread sheet.

My thought for assignment groups would be

Block1(50%) - contains the best score of block 1 assignments and resit 1
Block1 Assignments(0%) - contains assignment 1, Exam 1 scores and their average based on 45%,5% (or I guess 90%, 10%)
Resit_1 (0%) - contains the scores for resit 1
Block2(50%) - similar to Block1
Block2 Assignments(0%) - similar to block 1
Resit_2(0%) similar to resit1

Not sure if I have it correct, but something along those lines.
