The Instructure Community will enter a read-only state on November 22, 2025 as we prepare to migrate to our new Community platform in early December. Read our blog post for more info about this change.
I am curious if anyone attempted to use the What-if feature on publisher assignments like Cengage, MH, and etc. I have a student attempting to enter score for a MH assignment, but can't.

Hello @vancej
Thank you for contacting the Canvas Community. We understand you're trying to see if students can use what-if grades for assignments that use external tools for grading and recording submissions. The short answer is yes, the what-if tool should be able to be used on any graded assignment. If you are trying to use it on an assignment and it is not changing the score, please make sure that you have the right setting enabled on the right and also that the instructor has the assignment graded and counting towards the final. This feature is for students only and not instructors of a course.
