What does the  respondus lockdown browser option do?

The Respondus Lockdown browser is actually a 3rd-party plugin.  It is not officially part of Canvas but if your institution purchased Respondus, it plugs into Canvas Quizzes.  It provides a secure browser for testing to help ensure test security.  It blocks certain abilities for student while taking a quiz/test.  It does require the student to download the secure browser or be using a computer that has it installed.
