[ARCHIVED] What file types work with the new submission type Student Annotation?

We are excited to use the Student Annotation submission type, and was wondering if there is an exhaustive list of the file types it is compatible with? I have test a a variety and so far finding it works with Microsoft products (Word, PowerPoint, ect), but does not work with Apple products (Pages, Keynote, ect.). I was trying to determine if this was for sure the case, or if I had it set up incorrectly.

Hello there, @CarlaD07 ...

There are two documents I can point you to which should be of some help.

• How do I create an online assignment? - Canvas Community Scroll about 3/4 the way down the page, and look for the heading "Select Annotation File".  Underneath the screenshot, you'll find a link for "previewed in Canvas".  This will take you to my next bulleted link.

Thank you! So if I am understanding correctly, any file type that can be previewed in Canvas will then be compatible with the Student Annotation Submission type?
