[ARCHIVED] What is the best way to copy an assignment to another course?

I have copied the assignment to all the classes I need it in, but then I can't figure out how to "paste" or get it into the other courses.  I seem to have figured this out last week, but it is not obvious and I remember it taking forever.

Hi Jillian,

As long as you have access to both courses, you can use the import content and select just the quiz you want to import from one course to the other. You can find more information about how to do this in this canvas guide (How do I select specific content as part of a course import?  ).

You can also use the direct share‌ feature if you're wanting to share it with another instructor (https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-18377-41521186125 )

There are a couple ways this can be accomplished.

1. You can use the Course Import Tool to copy specific content from one course to another.  Just be sure that you are logged into the course where you want to copy the content to (not the course where the content currently lives), and then use this Guide: How do I select specific content as part of a course import?.
2. Another option for you is the "Direct Share" feature...a fairly new feature in Canvas.  However, your school's local Canvas administrator has to first enable this for your school's entire Canvas account.  (See How do I manage new features for an account? and What feature options are currently available for an entire Canvas account?.)  If the "Direct Share" option is already available to you, then you can use this Guide: How do I use Direct Share to copy an assignment to another course?.
