[ARCHIVED] What permissions are needed to invite new users?

I have a sub-account, and I want a teacher in a course in this sub-account to be able to go to Add people, enter an email address, and invite a new users like I can as an admin. I can't seem to find the appropriate permission that would allow this, as when I act as the teacher, it does not give me the option to send the new student an invite, it just says they were not found. Help!

Setting this permission for Teachers is an All or Nothing proposition - either all teachers have the permission to enroll users or none do.
However, you could create a new role based on the teacher roll, and give that new roll this permission.I would carefully check out the Roles and Permissions chapter of the https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-10895-canvas-admin-guide-table-of-contents
