[ARCHIVED] Why 'Start' instead of 'Submit'

Just why?

Even in the text it says to Submit an assignment, click the Start Assignment button.

There is no timer, there is no time limit, its not a race its a final action, a piece of work is being handed in.

If I was to go into a University and then spoke to the person behind the screen like so:

"I would like to start my assignment please"

"Well your late as this is for assignments to be submitted"

"Yes I want to start my assignment, that exactly what I want to do"

"But this is for people to submit the assignment"

"That's what I am trying to do"

"Well why didn't you say so"

"Because I am starting my assignment"

....
