You have asked your question in a global community of Canvas users who only have access to their own accounts and courses, so are unlikely to be able to answer your school-specific question.
Most schools use an integration between Canvas and the school's student information system to manage Canvas enrollments, and this will work differently at every school. I can tell you that at our school our integration runs every hour at the 50 minute mark. I suspect your is very similar - it is almost an industry standard. I think that by the time you read this answer, you're enrollments will already be sorted out.
