I know each module has 500 MB file upload. so does this mean the 32 modules i create will have 500 MB file upload and i can upload a large file to each module? Is there a limit the free canvas account of MB it has as a whole?

I am not sure where you're getting your knowledge:
I know each module has 500 MB file upload.
Canvas does not have a per-module limit. Modules don't actually hold anything, they link out to other things, so enforcing a limit on a module does not make sense. The default storage the entire Canvas course is 500 MB. This can be configured by a local Canvas Adminstrator.
Video-intensive courses should really use an alternative location to store their videos. Instructure has a product called Canvas Studio that offers some enhanced functionality, but there are free solutions like YouTube.
