[ARCHIVED] changing points on a quiz

I put the wrong number of points assigned to a quiz.  I can not seem to change the number even when I am in the quiz area after marking the edit pencil.  It just stays the same number.

Hi,  @haydennad  please accept this belated  Welcome to the Canvas Community! We apologize that you haven't yet received a response to this question, and we hope you have been able to find a solution on your own. In case you haven't, Old (Classic) Quizzes derive their point totals from the points assigned to each question, so to change the overall point total for the quiz you'll need to edit the points possible for each question so that they add up to the desired total. In New Quizzes, the instructor can assign a total number of points possible in the settings for the assignment.
