Esteemed Canvas Admins,

Are any of you currently using eSync Training with your Adobe Connect integration in Canvas?

If so, can you answer three things for me?

1. What sort of licensing do you have set up for Adobe Connect?
2. What do you love about eSync?
3. What do you wish you could change about eSync?

We're considering eSync but the way we have Connect set up would require us to monitor the system more than we'd like. Just curious to get a wider prospective.

We are just doing a trial with eSync and looking at Adobe Connect LTI (rooms, seminar, study group and office hours pod), MP4, MP4+transcripts, Smart WhiteBoard ( not ready to test yet)

Our current AC licence is for 25 concurrent users + one seminar for 250. We do not see that we will need to change this much but this may change once we get costing for the new LTI and MP4 service or if we can get Canvas app to adobe connect to actually work for us ( and so continue with our current licence set up).  See Canvas to Adobe Connect Best Practices / Troubleshooting

eSync are super keen and helpful but their demos are a bit too techy and sales driven. Some of their add ons are still really in development ...

having said that the AC LTI is super slick and easy to use (based on testing to date) and does not seem to require that much monitoring or intervention by us (assuming we possilby restrict students creating rooms and that simultaneous room use remains low). Only down side it has to sit in navigation as a one stop shop (could hide and use room links elsewhere)

Unless the Canvas app and recording options do what we require then we will probably go for their LTI and MP4 (no subtitles as that function is very inaccurate) as their MP4 will auto create and plays in any device as HTML5

Just a quick follow up

eSync LTI offers meeting rooms, study groups, office hour pods and seminar rooms. The first three are subject to whatever your adobe connect licence limitations are. e.g. our licence allows 25 concurrent users ( whether host or participant) so allowing study groups so students can create own groups or using office hour pod ( one shared space to allow 1-2-1) are probably not an option for us. Seminar is a separate licence.

We are giving the Canvas Admins area a little bit of love (especially questions that are really, really old) and just want to check in with you.  This will also bring this question new attention.
