[ARCHIVED] enrolling students in sections

I have students for 3 sections of a health class enrolled in  one CANVAS health class because I didn't want to create 3 different health courses with the same content.  How can I divide those students into three sections (i.e. periods 4, 6 and 7) and is that possible?

Hey Karen,

Good idea!  This will give you the ability to assign different due dates and availability dates on assignments. It will also save you a lot of time!

After you create the sections, you would then need to go to your People button and assign each student to the section that they belong to.

This doesn't work for me, as my students don't have the kabob menu at the far right. I can add them via SIS, but the drop-down menu doesn't let me assign them the role of student. I'm looking for help troubleshooting those problems. Thanks!
