The Canvas "curve" option is not how most academics think of grade curving. Most times, we want to simply add points (or subtract) to everyone's quiz or assignment grades. To date, the only way is to do this is manually, student by student. There needs to be an option in grade column to "adjust points for all" to add or subtract.

Do you have a question specifically about how Canvas functions as of today? I by no means want to detract from you feedback about how grade curving works in Canvas but in general the Q&A forums are where people come to ask or answer questions about how Canvas works as designed or to ask about how other people use the software.  The feature idea forums are where people make suggestions about how Canvas should function.  The feature idea forums are a primary source of feedback upon which our product designers depend heavily.

Currently there are four ideas related to grade curving, including one about adding points to all students in one step.  Perhaps you would like to support this idea or post a new one if none of the four align with your suggestion?
