[ARCHIVED] iOS - Issues with submitting Assignments

I have at least a whole class of students that are unable to submit assignment using the share button and then submit assignment in iOS. Some students are running iOS 13 and other are using iOS 12. My test device that I have been using is iOS 12. The assignment was to make up a pdf and submit back to the teacher, but whenever a student goes to submit it. We are getting alert that the submission failed. My tes device is using most current version of Canvas student app.

Hi Adam -

The first place I would start troubleshooting is with the assignment itself. Sometimes, especially when there's a lot going on, the assignment details can be missed. Double-check that the assignment is set to File Upload and that PDF is included in the file types.

If that's all good, is the PDF itself included in the assignment's directions? If so, students could try to use the "in house" annotation tools within Canvas Student. (How do I add annotations to a submission in the Student app on my iOS device?‌)
