[ARCHIVED] imbedding an external URL in a module

I sucessfully linked an external URL to a module in a CANVAS course.  The specific, short piece I want to provide to my students comes right up, but after it plays, it offers other options that I don't want them to have access to.  How do I limit access to just the one piece?

That functionality is dependent upon the site that you are linking to and you may not have any control over it. You should work with the site you're linking to or their documentation to answer this question.

For example, YouTube provides some query parameters that can limit what kind of related videos are shown, but you cannot disable them completely. There is a setting you can include in an embed code, but not an external URL, to disable clicking on those related videos.

Someone here may know the answer, but you would need to share the site you're linking to for us to help more.

Here is a video that may be helpful. This person shows a setting in youtube where it says "show suggested videos" and if you UNCHECK it, these videos will not be shown at the end of the video. The video is on how to embed a youtube video in a Canvas page. It was posted in 2018 but may still be relevant. Hope this helps.

I just want to add a side note, which I feel silly doing because I am such a naïve novice and may be off base. But I wonder if you know there are two ways to embed an external source, particularly a YouTube video. Copying the URL from the URL bar and embedding that is especially likely to show the next video. It's possible you did that. This might be why you successfully embedded it but are being given information on how to embed it.
