[ARCHIVED] missing student submission

I gave an exam last week; students uploaded their work onto Canvas as an assignment and I graded them in Speedgrader.  Now, this week, 2 students' exams are missing.  Canvas says "this student does not have a submission for this assignment."  Their grades are still there in Speedgrader.  The other 44 students who took the test -- the gradebook still has their exams and lets me open them; it's just these 2.

That sounds pretty strange.  Unfortunately, we here in the Community don't have access to your school's Canvas environment or your course(s) in question to really help troubleshoot something like this.  Have you tried reaching out to the folks at the Canvas help desk to see if they might be able to help troubleshoot?  They would be able to log in to your course and take a look at things to see what might be going on.  Please report back after you've had a conversation with them so we know what the solution was...thanks!  Take care, stay safe, and be well.
