Is the assignment that you are trying to upload to set up to receive files uploads? Does it have the Upload File option? If so, what browser are you using? It is recommend to use Chrome or Firefox.
If it does not have the Upload File option, then the assignment is not set up to allow for online submissions with a file upload. In that case, I would recommend contacting your instructor.
Here are some troubleshooting steps:
- Check your device compatibility: What are the basic computer specifications for Canvas?
- Check your browser compatibility: Which browsers does Canvas support?
- Try a different browser. The latest version of Chrome works great in both Windows and MacOS.
- If none of these methods solve the problem, contact Canvas Support. General instructions are in How do I get help with Canvas as a student?, but your school's support setup might vary somewhat, in which case ask your local IT Department for additional troubleshooting assistance.
